There are many luxury brands out there who have dedicated followers.  One of those brands has the most loyal and proud groupies, and that is Saab.  What is about this car that is so popular?

Saab excels in its engineering.   The Chicago Saab 9-3 is made with a unique Scandinavian design that Saab lovers come to expect.  Also, they feel that their brand is  not on the road as much as other models, and they like that.  They boast individuality and that’s not always a bad thing.  These owners are very attached and loyal their vehicles.

I decided to take a Chicago Saab test drive for myself.  I agree that it was a very nice car with a lot to offer.   But, I am not  sure that it would warrant the same type of love, as say, a BMW, Mercedes, or Audi might  in it’ s owner.  I tested out a used 9-3 Aero Chicago and it was a decent car.  The sticker price on the car was just over $39K.  This is a lot of money to spend on a used vehicle and If I were to do so, I want to feel like I’m getting a little more luxury than this model offered.  While it did have a nice all wheel drive option, I felt like something was missing.  There was no “supped up” feel compared to my previously owned 5 Series.

Saab did redeem itself in the newer Chicago Saab 9-3 that I test drove a couple weeks after the 9-3 Aero.  I liked this upscale small car model better than the sport sedan.  For it’s size I was happy with the power the engine gave and the engineering style definitely had more European flair.  Overall, it’s a nice car that did give me a glimmer into why Saab owners are really passionate about their brand.

Now it’s up to you to check out the Saab Chicago and see if you’ll fall in love for life?!??!
