The Chicago 9-5 2011 model has a beautiful, eye-catching design that Saab lovers hope makes it to dealerships. As you may or may not know, GM is trying to sell Saab. Their deal to sell to Koenigsegg did not materialize, sending Saab’s future into the great unknown. Their hope is that this new model will regenerate the brand and keep it going!
Take a look at this classy car, and you can definitely tell it’s a Saab, but there are some design changes. The pillars and roof are more angled, compared to the Chicago 9-5 Griffin. It also has some of the “jet fighter design” that was a staple on the Aero-X car a couple years back.
As far as engines go, they power is similar to that found on the Chicago 2010 Saab 9-5. The 2011 model will have 2 choices: a 300-hp, 2.8-liter V6 will appear in the 9-5 Aero and a base model with a 2.0 L, 220 hp engine. There will also be the options of manual and automatic 6-speed transmissions. Based on these facts, I hope this model makes it to the showroom, because the new Chicago 9-5 would be a blast to test drive!
Some other features of the 2011 model are more leg and shoulder room, jukebox music player with 10 gigabytes, rear entertainment system, and a touch screen navigation system. Lots of great amenities to make for an enjoyable drive!
Saab’s future is still in question, but it’s the hope that this 2011 model will make it to Patrick Saab and the brand will get a buyer very soon. In the meantime, visit Patrick Saab for great deals on the Chicago 2010 Saab and other fine cars!
