A new Chicago Saab 9-5 is said to undergo production by the end of the year….  The 2010 model hopes to wow the auto industry.  The 9-5 was set to be released several times, but due to the economy and other changes at the company, it was sidelined.  Those who love this car are anxiously awaiting arrival at a Saab dealer in Chicago.

The updated look is very modern and upscale and will have great features.   For example, the audio/entertainment system sounds awesome.  The Chicago Saab 9-5 will have a “Harman Kardon 5.1 channel surround sound audio system.”  The driver can store map information and music from an MP3 in the navigation system hard disk.   Also, backseat passengers will be able to choose their own music or watch their favorite DVD.  What a great way to distract annoying back seat drivers :)

With regards to powertrain, Saab will offer several options in different markets.  In Europe, gasoline and turbo-diesel engines will be available.  In the United States, they are considering moving forward with the 3.6-liter V-6 instead of the turbocharged 2.8-liter unit.  Some experts hope that might not happen, as a true Saab needs to be as supercharged as possible!

It is not set in stone when we’ll see this car on lots…..Perhaps the 9-5 will be the next great car since the Chicago 9-5 Griffin was released?!?<
